A ocupação do território Xokleng pelos imigrantes italianos no Sul Catarinense (1875-1925): Resistência e extermínio

The present work analyses the conflicts involving the Xokleng and the Italian immigrants in the south of Santa Catarina in the last decades of the 19th century and in the first decades of the 20th century in the context of the great European immigration to Brazil and in the expansion of the colonization areas as a way of expansion of the agricultural frontier in places considerate “demographical empties” by the Brazilian government.
