Description
With a wealth of comedy source material from which to draw, John Goodman playing Fred Flinstone and Rick Moranis as Barney Rubble, the 1994 Flintstones live-action movie should have been a sure-fire hit. And it was, at the box office at least. Unfortunately, it's also a muddled, misjudged, tedious catastrophe in the homage stakes.
Prudently, Ocean Software eschewed the stodgy minutiae of its plot revolving around corporate espionage and embezzlement, fashioning together a remarkably playable SNES-based platform game worthy of the classic cartoon. I examine them both, trying my best to pretend only one of the two actually happened. Can you guess which?
