About this Book

This collaboration by Catholic adults of every vocation has produced an insightful reflection on the Catechism of the Catholic Church published last year. The book is divided into four sections and 40 concise chapters, roughly paralleling the structure of the official catechism. If the volume is used as an adjunct to personal or group study of the official catechism, it is hard to believe that any reader would not come away enriched. If studied without a prior firm grounding in Catholic teaching, however, some of the authors' positions will be invitations to error. Still, the book on the whole will refresh the thinking Catholic with some of the clearest statements of faith now available.(July)--PW 07/10/1995.
