Meet Charles Crum and George Bourquin, judges who defended the constitutional right of free speech during World War I. And Hazel Hunkins, a brilliant chemist from Billings who picketed the White House to win the right for women to vote. Here too are Hum Fay, a Butte businessman facing a racist boycott; Helena's Octavia Bridgwater, a pioneering Black nurse; and Elouise Cobell, who demanded, simply, that the U.S. government pay the billions due to tribal landowners.
