Proceedings of the Sesqui-centennial Gathering of the Descendants of Isaac and Ann Jackson

About this Book

Anthony Jackson, brother of Richard Jackson, was born in Lancashire, England and immigrated to Ireland in 1649. His son, Isaac Jackson, was born in 1665. He married Ann Evans, daughter Rowland Evans, of Balliloing, County Wicklow, in 1696 at Oldcastle, County Meath. They had ten children, 1697-1715, born at Oldcastle; Clonerany, County Wexford; and Ballitore, County Killdare. Two children died as infants. The rest of the family, except the oldest son and daughter, immigrated to America in 1725 and settled at Londongrove, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The oldest son, Thomas, remained in Ireland; the oldest daughter, Rebecca, immigrated a few years before her parents. Isaac died in 1750. Descendants listed lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, New York, Delaware, and elsewhere.
