Sophie Taeuber-Arp
About this Book
Sophie Taeuber-Arp (1889-1943) is one of the most important figures in Swiss art history; the New York Museum of Modern Art last honored this fascinating artist in 1983 with a widely noted retrospective. The exhibition was shown in New York, Chicago, Houston, and Montreal.
Now, on the occasion of a major exhibition in Switzerland, we are releasing a key publication on Sophie Taeuber-Arp's works on paper--works that have a central role in her oeuvre.
This catalogue book will for the first time focus on these works on paper as a unified whole and examine them and their contexts.
Christoph Voegele studied art history in Switzerland and the United States. He has been curator at different institutes and currently is the director of the Art Museum Solothurn.
