In 1956, at age 62, Dr. Forrest Shaklee came out of retirement, persuaded his two sons to quit their jobs and put up $5000 each, and started the Shaklee Corporation. With devotion, care, and a lot of hard work, the three Shaklees turned a good idea--the direct selling of health-care and other related products--into a phenomenal success.
