A Family's Civil Ware Struggles
About this Book
From 2011 until 2015 America has been and continues to observe the 150th anniversary of the War Between the States. A Family's Civil War Struggles is a collection of stories about ancestors of the author who lived in a quaint, mountainous area of Madison County, North Carolina, known as Shelton Laurel. Some died while fighting in the Union Army, some were killed or tortured as innocent civilians, and one survived the wasa in a Confederate uniform, but all remained a loving, close-knit family. These stories gel into one narrative of a region's inhabitants and how they perservered before, during, and after the War Between the States.
