Design Since 1945 is an exhibition of 418 objects (appliances, ceramics, glass, furniture, lighting, metalwork, plastics, textiles, and wood) installed in the Special Exhibition Galleries. George Nelson designed the installation. The catalogue was edited by and features biographies by Kathryn B. Hiesinger and Geoge H. Marcus, Head of Publications. It includes essays by 17 contributing authors and was published by the Philadelphia Museum of Art; Rizzoli International Publications, New York, and Thames and Hudson, London published a cloth edition.
