About this Book

To coincide with Islamic Week in October and the 10th Asian Art in London (1 to 10 November) Francesca Galloway will present Shringar, an exhibition of Indian paintings, painted textiles and objects, at her gallery at 31 Dover Street, London W1, from Tuesday 23 October to Friday 23 November 2007. The term Shringar not only describes the sentiment of erotic love in ancient Indian aesthetics, but is also used to describe the daily appearance of the god Srinathji at his shrine at Nathdwara in Rajasthan.
