About this Book

Long John Dunn of Taos, New Mexico cattleman, jailbird, gambler, stagecoach driver, miner, saloon-keeper, and entrepreneur, told Max Evans the story of his long and adventurous life and his recollections of the last days of the pioneer era. Evans, best known for his novel The Rounders, has received numerous awards, including the Golden Spur Award from the Western Writers of America. Evans is a long-time resident of Albuquerque.
