About this Book

Lionel F. Pinn, Sr., earned a remarkable three combat infantryman's badges during a distinguished U.S. Army career. Originally from Massachusetts, he retired to Gadsden, Alabama, where he died in 1999. Co-author Frank Sikora, a native of Byesville, Ohio, is a veteran journalist and the author of several books. He is recently retired from the Birmingham News.
