Visitors to Moscow fall under the spell of its spacious squares and prospects, its numerous boulevards and embankments, pic turesque by-streets and parks. And there are also the Muscovites, industrious, energetic and cordial folk who have made the city what it is today and who are determined to make it the fine city they need and want for the morrow.
Realizing that tourists may have only a very short time at their disposal - occasion ally just one or two days—this booklet has been written to make a point of “the most interesting sights.” It starts off with a gene ral picture of Moscow and then concentrates on the city’s districts with different Metro (subway) stations as the starting points.
If, as you read these pages, you come to have a fuller appreciation of the capital’s great heritage, where history has been care fully preserved and is in the making, you, too, will risk leaving a bit of your heart here.
