Description

Aaargh! is a Rampage spin-off homage of sorts that further takes inspiration from various classic fantasy adventure movies that feature the still-impressive stop-motion animation of Ray Harry-Hausen. You play as either a dragon or ogre who make it their mission to decimate the environment in search of giant eggs. Once found, a one-on-one beat 'em squabble ensues, adding an extra dimension to the proceedings. Aaargh! was represented on all the major 8 and 16-bit platforms popular in 1989 (Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Apple IIgs, Arcade, Atari ST, Commodore 64, DOS, MSX, ZX Spectrum), though I mostly focus on the Amiga version in my retrospective review.
