Whether you've seen the 1986 movie Highlander or not, you'll know that it revolves around Sean Connery training Christopher Lambert to prance about chopping off heads with a mystical sword. Why? To remain immortal and become 'the one' of course! What more do you need to know? Well, there are a million sequels and multi-medium spin-offs, yet only the first one is worth a shrunken head ornament. These include an 8-bit sword-fighting game by Canvas Software that's shockingly limp for a legitimate retail product. Published by Ocean Software, the tormenting blighter goads us into pitting our wits and steel against three fearsomely accomplished combatants; Ramirez (Mr Connery no less), Macleod's equally immortal car-park-sparring partner, Fizir (named Iman Fasil in the movie), and ultimately our centurion-like, numero uno antagonist, The Kurgan.
