Khushwant Singh is undoubtedly Indian's best known journalist and syndicated columnist. In the words of his son Rahul Singh, Khushwant Singh, in his long and distinguished career, 'has tried his hand at almost anything that came his way. Born in 1915, Khushwant Singh received his education in Lahore, Delhi and London. He is best known for his award winning novel, Train to Pakistan and the two-volumed History of the Sikhs, although his joke books remain his bestsellers.
